Fall Quiltmania publications have arrived

Before we jump in with quilty news, we want to share a couple of administrative items.  The annual Bikes, Blues and BBQ event started Tuesday and runs through the weekend (Oct 5-8).  The event moved from Fayetteville to Rogers this year and experts expect upwards of 300,000 visitors to the area.  If you are planning a trip to the shop, some streets in the downtown area are closed and Exit 86 is a focal point for many events.  We aren't trying to discourage a trip to see us......just want you to be aware there may be congestion.

Several have inquired about whether we will have extended hours next week as the annual fall craft fairs kick off next week (Oct 12 - 16).  We will be open our regular hours (9:00-3:00) Thursday, Oct 13, and Saturday, Oct 15.  However, if you're in the area and would like to set up an appointment outside those days/hours, please e-mail info@sewgracefulquilting.com or call 479-372-7403.  We'll try to accommodate you.
The fall issue of Simply Vintage last week.  It's jammed with 16 projects ranging from quilts to punch needle to a darling stuffed scarecrow featuring a pumpkin head.  The magazine contains 16 projects.  $20.99
This beautiful quilt designed by Deb of The Cottage Rose is featured in the magazine.
This quilt is also featured in the magazine.  We visualize making this using Diamond Textile in muted colors to give it an aged look......so many possibilities!
We also received our shipment of Simply Moderne magazines.  This issue may be our favorite yet.  We're including photos of two of our favorite quilts.  10 projects - $20.99

If you're on auto ship for either Simply Vintage or Simply Moderne (or both), Debby has processed your subscription.

This week we're sharing a sweet pincushion or bowl filler you will be able to sew up in a matter of minutes.  It features a darling Santa from Moda fabrics.  Your $4.95 "Vintage Santa" kit includes instructions, fabrics for the top and backing fabric.

This week for our "when it's gone, it's gone" section are featuring our last few kits for Nature's Grace.  Your $29.95 kit includes the pattern (with our changes), French General toweling and wool for applique. The runner finishes 16 1/2" x 43".  We also have a couple patterns available ($9) if you'd prefer to use your own materials.  We also have toweling available in several colors.  Let us know if you'd like more info about available toweling.

Please e-mail info@sewgracefulquilting.com to reserve.
This week for our Sample Sale we are selling Mr. Scarecrow.  The piece features wool applique on a homespun background.  It has been hand quilted.  11 1/2" x 13 1/2"  $45 plus shipping
