Christmas inspiration

 

Is it just us or does it feel like fall has finally arrived?  The changing leaves, squirrels dashing to gather acorns and the fall craft fairs this week all signal fall to us.  Several asked whether we would have extended hours and/or a booth at a show.  We will be open regular days and hours (Thursday & Saturday 9:00-3:00) but will be happy to work with you on an appointment basis.  Please e-mail info@sewgracefulquilting.com or call 479-372-7403 to schedule.  With keeping the shop open regular hours, our quilting business and family commitments, we decided we would be stretched too thin by committing to a booth. This week we are sharing a sweet small quilt, All Hearts.  It features easy piecing, wool applique and a little embroidery.  Your $24.95 kit includes the pattern (with our changes), fabrics for the quilt top, wool for applique, borders, binding and the darling hand painted reindeer button designed by Lynette Anderson. It finishes 15 1/4" x 15 1/4".

We received a cute Christmas inspired book from David and Charles Publishing, Christmas at Cowslip by Jo Colwill.  The book is a compilation of the best festive sewing projects from Jo Colwill's two books:  Cushions and Quilts and Patchwork Quilts and Gifts. We weren't familiar with her work but will be keeping an eye open for future creations.  96 pages, 8 1/2" x 11", $19.99

This week for our "when it's gone, it's gone" section are featuring our last Simply 20 kit.  The kit contains Diamond Textile fabrics to make a 64" x 80" quilt.
