Kay had a great time visiting the guild in Owasso and sharing her love of applique. She was quite surprised to see the number of visitors who attended the meeting to watch her trunk show. Her next scheduled event is in Claremore OK on August 24. She will be presenting a wool trunk show and a wool applique workshop. We'll post more info as time draws closer.

How to attach backing fabric to your wool appliqued project
Various ways to finish (including how to make a rouched ribbon trim) and display your project
During class you will receive a practice kit. You will use this kit to become familiar with the steps required for success. After you feel comfortable with the process, you'll receive your workshop kit.

When Darlene saw Norma Whaley's "Peace Pillow" pattern she knew she wanted to make it. Pillows don't work well in her home, so she modified the pattern to create a wall hanging. The spring showers are keeping us on our toes as weeds seem to be thriving. The rain leaves the air smelling very fresh, but the humidity is something we would rather not deal with. After a rain, we see many worms on our driveway which leads us to the point of mentioning rain......our newest pincushion. Notice the absolutely darling wooden worm buttons?!
Kay took a Lynette Anderson pattern and reduced the applique to create this darling pincushion. It could also be used as a bowl filler or a small pillow.
