S is for Sew

 

It's hard to believe the first month of 2021 is coming to a close soon.  It's been a busy month for us for several reasons one of which we can finally share.  Late last year we were invited to participate in a FB group to create a super fun project.  We worked with 8 other shops to create a wonderful make believe wool village.   Starting March 1, 2021 and ending April 30, 2021, each shop will offer a kit and a pattern for a piece of this village.  We are working on the pricing but our pricing will include FREE shipping for the kit.  But that’s not all, you can choose from different settings to complete your own personal village.  Several shops, including us, will offer finishing kits. Below is a snippet of our block. This week for our "when it's gone, it's gone" section, we are featuring a wonderful book published by Quiltmania, "Meanderings of a Quilt Collector" by Jane Lury.  She has travelled  widely and acquired many fabulous quilts including early English and American chintz pieces, French Boutis and quilted Indian floor-spreads.
