New flannel quilt and gift ideas

One administrative note before we jump in.  We will be closed for the Christmas/New Year holiday from Dec 19 - Jan 5.  We will reopen Thursday, Jan 6.  This will be our last newsletter of 2021 (where did that year go!?).  We will be back on Jan 6 with our regular Thursday update.

Hopefully you are finding some time to relax during this typically hectic time of year.  This week we want to share a few projects that will hopefully inspire you.

If you're looking for a super quick, easy and practical project, the Yuletide Gatherings Flannel quilt is just the ticket.  We visualize this in several settings including a nice "cuddle and watch TV" or an "I'm sending you back to college with a new quilt" or a "here's a fun quilt for mom or grandma in assisted living".  The quilt is made with Lisa Bonjean's Moda flannels so it is super soft.  We chose a nice Moda Grunge binding to complement the top.  We prefer to use cotton instead of flannel for our bindings.  Flannel is difficult to stitch through and always gives us a lumpy binding.

Quilt finishes 66 1/2" x 57.  Your $54.95 kit includes the flannel layer cake and binding.
Another easy project is Rosie.  She finishes 18" x 24".  Your $29.95 kit includes the pattern, fabric for top, and binding.

When Jane made our sample, she used Soft Fuse and fused the applique shapes in place. She finished with a simple blanket stitch sewn on the machine.
Sometimes the holiday activity can be overwhelming, and we find ourselves wanting a quiet escape.  Handwork is the perfect escape for us.  Yard of Snowmen is a great long-term project (at least it seemed to be a long-term project to us!).  Your $24.95 kit includes the pattern, background fabric, binding and backing.
With the new year, many think of ways to organize themselves.  How about get a jump on organization with our zippered storage bags?  Both bags feature heavy weight plastic with a nice zipper.  The 7 1/2" x 7" is only $2.95 and is large enough to comfortably hold all your project sewing supplies.

Items pictured in both bags are for display purposes only.
The 8" x 10" is $3.95.
If you're still shopping for the perfect gift, we also have gift certificates available in any amount.
This week for our "when it's gone, it's gone" section we are featuring the last of our Wool Works magazines.  We have Vol 2, Issue 2 (the magazine with the dragonfly) and Vol 3, Issue 2 (the magazine with the ladies) available.  Each is $9.99.

As a reminder, Wool Works magazines are no longer being printed.
Please e-mail info@sewgracefulquilting.com to place your order.

We wish each of you a Merry Christmas and a great 2022.  We are looking forward to an exciting 2022.
See you soon.
