The
dog days of summer have definitely arrived with no end of the hot temps
in sight. We are very content to get out during the early mornings or
late evenings and stay home during the middle part of the day. Of
course, staying inside means more time to create and stitch. We always
try to look for the silver lining in each of our clouds.
We're
continuing our Christmas in July with a darling wall hanging. The
pattern, ABC Santa, is by Cricket Street Wool but as we often do, we
changed the pattern from finishing each block as a pillow to creating a
wall hanging. Your $34.95 kit includes the pattern with our changes,
background cottons, wool for applique, borders and binding. It finishes
24" x 24".
Our tea towel of the month, Happy Camper would make a darling addition
to your campsite. Your $11.95 kit includes the pattern and tea towel.
Let us know if you'd like us to put together a thread kit containing
Valdani perle cotton size 12. If you're on auto ship to receive a tea
towel kit each month, Debby will be processing your order. |

We have finalized plans for our newest button club block of the month,
Peace and Joy by Lynette Anderson. The quilt is a mystery so we don't
know what the finished quilt looks like. If you're familiar with
Lynette's style, you know she does a lot of applique and embroidery with
simple piecing. Judging by the name and the photo she shared on
instagram we know the quilt will include a Santa and trees. The
quilt will include 6 of her hand painted buttons. The finished size is
17" x 23" and the program will run for 6 months beginning Sep 1.
The monthly cost will be $23.95 per month which will include the
pattern, hand painted button and fabrics (wool if required). Lynette
has also designed a special project available only to club
participants. Once we receive your confirmation and payment
information, we will e-mail you the file containing the special
project. It should keep you busy until the program starts.
Please call 479-372-7403 with payment info (if you haven't ordered from
us in the past) or e-mail info@sewgracefulquilting.com to reserve your
spot. Photo courtesy of Lynette Anderson. |

We are also offering additional items to help you stitch Lynette's
block of the month. Lynette used Valdani 6-ply embroidery floss for her
stitching. We are offering a thread kit containing the 7 threads she
used for $24. Other optional items: Stitchery stabilizer - 1 yard - $5.25 (to stabilize blocks containing a lot of embroidery) Apliquick rods - $42.95 Hugs & Kisses applique paper - $23.95 Fabric glue pen - $7.95 (refills $3.95 for two) Roxanne's glue baste it - $10.95 Sewline duo marking pen - $7.95 Foxglove embroidery needles - $3.60 per tube (size 10 or 11)
We are noticing longer than normal shipping times so are trying to
allow plenty of time for items to arrive for the Sep 1 start. We also
are noticing price increases on many items. If you place your order
now, you are guaranteed this pricing for the block of the month. The photo below shows some of the optional items. Please note the wooden thread holders are not included with the thread. |

We want to share a couple more fun gift items. We promise this will be the last newsletter with gift items (for a while). Please note these are on backorder until early August.
How about a charm bracelet for your special sewing buddy (or for
yourself because you're special)? The bracelet includes 4 charms. $20 |
|
The charm holder would be nice on a garment but we think it would also look nice on your sewing bag. $15 |
|
We also are able to order charms for the charm holder. The silver charm pack contains 8 charms (2 of each). $15 We think these charms would also be cute on a pincushion or small quilt. |
|
Enamel charm pack - 6 charms (1 of each) $20 |

This week for our "when it's gone, it's gone" section, we are featuring
a cute little piece. It finishes 5" x 7" and can be framed or hung
using an Ackfeld hanger. Your "Kindness Matters" kit includes the
pattern and fabric for $9.95. We have only 1 kit left so don't hesitate to reserve your kit by e-mailing info@sewgracefulquilting.com |

Hope to see you soon! Darlene and Debby |
