Lots of Christmas inspiration

The snowfall earlier this week reminded us to remind you of our inclement weather policy.  If the Rogers public schools are closed, the shop will be closed.  If snow is falling or is on the roads, please call us before you make a trip out to the shop.  As you're aware if you've been to the shop, several portions of Pleasant Ridge Road don't get much sun which means melting occurs slowly.

We will have an abbreviated newsletter next week since it's Thanksgiving week so we have a lot to share this week.

Darlene has a very limited amount of stitching time so she chooses her stitching projects carefully.  When she saw the "Bear and Snowman Wall Quilt" she knew it was on her "I absolutely must stitch this" list.  The background is a lovely mottled navy fabric by Primitive Gatherings and the applique is wool.  Each wool shape is beautifully embellished with stitching.  Your $36.95 kit includes the pattern, background cotton, wool for the applique, borders and binding.  The quilt finishes 21 1/2" x 27 1/2".

We'll be happy to put together a thread kit - just let us know you'd like to order one when you place your kit order.
Our shipment of long sleeve t-shirts arrived just in time for holiday gift giving.  These are not the usual thin t-shirts one often finds......you know the kind ..... it'll fit a normal person before washing and a 5-year old after washing.  We ordered three yummy colors:  brick, lavender and chalky mint.  Brick and lavender are pictured below - we couldn't get a good photo of chalky mint but think back to the after dinner mints grandma used to keep on her coffee table -- the green is similar.

Shirts are $28.95 each and available in a variety of sizes.
We received notification this week that effective Jan 1 the price of Valdani perle cotton will increase.  This means the balls will go from $4.95 each to $5.45 each.  Now would be a good time to place an order to fill in holes you may have in your stash.  You can order on line https://www.sewgracefulquilting.com/, call Darlene at 479-372-7403 or e-mail (info@sewgracefulquilting.com) with your order.
We're always super excited to see boxes arrive from Quiltmania because they contain magazines filled with inspiration.  The winter issue of Simply Vintage contains 17 projects ranging from pieced quilts to embroidery to wool applique.  If you're on auto ship to receive the magazine, Debby is processing your order today.  If you're not and would like to be, please let us know.  $17.99
We are in awe of the Quiltmania magazine cover quilt.  It would probably take us a long time to make but would be a beautiful addition to our quilt collection.  The magazine is filled with a particularly wonderful selection of projects.  $13.99
Although the Simply Moderne magazine contains contemporary projects, we can visualize all of them in our primitive fabrics.  $17.99
Last but not least, we wanted to share a photo of Kay's progress on the "4 Seasons" table topper project.  Here's a portion of the spring section of the project.  We'll share updates on our Instagram page (sewgracefulquilting) and Facebook (Sew Graceful Quilting).
Last week Cox subscribers didn't receive their weekly newsletter until around noon.  We always send our weekly newsletter out at 6:00 a.m. CST.  If you're enjoying your morning cup of coffee and looking forward to reading our newsletter and find your inbox is empty, you can read our newsletter by visiting our blog http://sewgraceful.blogspot.com/

See you soon!

Darlene and Debby
