Some fun Christmas projects

With the start of the school year we know many of you are preparing to send children and grandchildren back to school.  We hope during these hectic and very warm days you're able to find some time to soothe yourself with some stitching.

The first project we want to share is a great take along to appointments project.  We finished ours as a pillow but it would be equally cute finished as a small wall hanging.  Your $17.95 kit for Jingle Bell Santa includes the pattern, flannel for the background, wool for applique and buttons for eyes.  It finishes 10" x 10".
With Christmas just around the corner, we know many of you are looking for quick and easy projects for gift giving.  Our version of "Splendor" fits the bill on both accounts.  The quilt finishes 48" x 48" so is the perfect size for multiple uses......table topper, quilt for a toddler, wall hanging, lap quilt for a special loved one, picnic quilt, baby quilt....you get the idea....

Your $62.95 kit includes the pattern, fabric to make the top and the binding.  We'll be happy to help you choose backing fabric.

If you're looking for a bed sized quilt, why not make the quilt four times and have a beautiful quilt ready for the spring decorating season.
"Santa Quartet" rounds out our selection of holiday projects this week.  Your $19.95 kit includes the pattern (with our changes), fabric for the top and rick rack. Our piece finished 8 1/2" x 18 1/2". We mounted ours on a burlap covered frame which we found at a local craft store.

Debby stitched our sample using 12 weight Valdani perle cotton in a pretty red color.  If red doesn't fit with your home decor, the project would be equally sweet stitched in any number of colors.
This week for our "when it's gone, it's gone" section we are featuring a book by Elizabeth Angus with several fall themed projects.  The book contains 8 projects with lots of embroidered details.  $14.95

For planning purposes - Sew Graceful will be closed Saturday, Sep 4 for Labor Day weekend.

Hope to see you soon.
