2020 is off with a bang

Can you believe it's been 20 years since all the anxiety about what would happen to computers when the calendar turned to 2000?  A lot has happened in the past 20 years but we are eagerly anticipating what will happen in 2020.  We are excited to continue to bring you fun and inspiring projects.

Debby has been working to get our newest club underway.  Our "Tea Towel of the Month" club is going to be so much fun.  Each month Debby will stitch a new sample.  We'll share it with you and you can choose whether to purchase or not.  If you know you'll want them all, we're happy to automatically reserve a kit for you. The first "Baby it's Cold Outside" pretty much sums up our feelings about the weather lately since it's been so blustery cold since Christmas.  Your $11.95 kit includes the pattern and tea towel.  If you'd like us to put together a thread kit containing Valdani perle cotton size 12, let us know when you place your order.

Kay spent some time over the holidays at the shop moving, restocking and generally tidying up.  Here's the display by the check out stand.  We love how the tea towel is the featured sample.

Our 2020 $10 block of the month, Blackbird Gathering has officially started.  The quilt is a combination of wool applique on cotton backgrounds along with some easy pieced blocks. At the end of 12 months, you'll have a quilt top, borders and binding. The cost is $10 per month (plus shipping) for 12 months. The pattern which was in the 2017 issue of Simply Vintage magazine is sold separately for $17.99. When you sign up, please let us know whether you need the magazine. The quilt measures 34 1/2" x 39 1/2". We are also offering some optional items. Please let us know if you want us to include any (or all) with your first month's shipment. This week for our "when it's gone, it's gone" section, we are featuring Church Cat by Cheri Payne.  We have only one kit left.  The designer passed away so the pattern is out of print so once it's gone, it's gone forever.  Your $38.95 kit includes the out of print pattern, background cotton, wool for applique, borders, binding and buttons for eyes (buttons will vary).
