The little things make us happy

Sometimes the little things in life bring us the most happiness......a few weeks ago we had our plumber out for a repair.  While he was at the shop, we asked him to install a water heater in the bathroom.  If you've ever washed your hands at the shop during the winter you know the water can be very cold.  In fact, Kay's commented many times that our tap water is colder than water coming out of the tap on top of Pike's Peak.  Next time you're at the shop, feel free to enjoy a nice warm hand wash......remember it's the little things......

The recent rainy weather has likely kept you inside and, hopefully, stitching.  If that's the case, you may be looking for a new project.  We have several to share this week.

Debby did a beautiful job on "He Restores".  Your $24.95 kit includes the pattern, fabric for the top, binding, wool, backing fabric and small red flower buttons.  It finishes 14" x 19 1/4".  We love the hanger she chose and have it available for $14.95.  Let us know if we can reserve a kit and/or hanger for you.
We're sad to see Lynette Anderson's Seaside Town block of the month end.  The final shipment goes out in April.  Now that the program has ended, Lynette is offering the entire pattern set.  The Seaside Town set includes 12 patterns with buttons -- please note -- the buttons included in the pattern set are unpainted raw wood.  The quilt finishes 34" x 44".  Price for the complete pattern set is $168 (no fabric is included).
The summer issue of Primitive Quilts & Projects magazine will arrive in a couple of weeks.  If you're on auto ship, we will process your order as soon as we receive the magazine.  If you're not on auto ship and would like to be, please e-mail (info@sewgracefulquilting.com) or call 479-372-7403 and we'll get you on the list.

We love doing the math to find out the cost per project - 16 projects contained in a $9.99 magazine makes each project cost 63 cents.
"High on the Hilltop" is Kay's project in the summer issue of Primitive Quilts & Projects magazine.  We have kits ready to pick up or be mailed.  Your $34.95 kit includes fabric for the top and binding - you will need the  magazine for the pattern.  This is the second in a series of seasonal table toppers - the spring project was "Bees in the Meadow"  which is pictured in the second photo below (kits are $38.95 - you will need the spring issue of Primitive Quilts & Projects magazine for the pattern).

Let us know if you'd like to reserve a magazine or kit(s) by emailing info@sewgracefulquilting or calling 479-372-7403.
Thread kits for both table toppers are also available.  Both contain Valdani perle cotton size 12.  The High on the Hilltop kit includes 4 balls of thread (1, PT2, O506, 200) and is $19.80.  The Bees in the Meadow thread kit includes 6 balls (JP6, O563, 311, JP7, P4, O511) and is $29.70.  Let us know if you need either (or both) kits and we'll include them with the kit.
As you're planning your spring outings, don't forget to include a visit to the Ozark Country Quilters show April 6 (9:00-6:00) and April 7 (9:00-4:00) at Crowder College, 4020 N Main, Cassville MO.  Kay will be vending at the show.  Due to a scheduling conflict, we will not be vending at the Springfield MO show this fall so the Cassville show is the last time we'll be in Missouri for the year.......a good excuse to plan a Missouri road trip.

Two area shows are scheduled April 13 & 14.  The Calico Cut-Ups Guild of Bella Vista AR show will be held at the Bella Vista Assembly of God Church, 1771 Forest Hills Blvd, Friday 9:00-6:00 & Sat 9:00-4:00.  For more info visit http://www.calicocut-ups.org/

The Muskogee Area Quilters Guild show will be held at the St Paul Methodist Church, 2130 W Okmulgee, Muskogee OK, 9:00-4:00 on Friday and Saturday.  For more info e-mail Pegge at mdcond@aol.com or call her at 707-694-9468.  You can also visit the guild on Facebook  (Muskogee Area Quilters Guild).
See you soon!
