A new table topper kit

These beautiful fall days inspire us to stitch and create.  Darlene recently made this cute table topper.  It would look very nice on a dining room table with a pretty fall centerpiece.  It also could serve as a nice accent on a wall.  Your $18.95 kit for "Amanda" includes the fabrics to make the quilt and the binding.  The pattern must be purchased separately and is found in the book "3 Times the Charm!".  The book is $9.95.

If you'd like us to help choose a backing fabric, please let us know when you order.
Our new issue of Simply Vintage arrived.  We enjoy all issues of the magazine but feel like the fall and winter issues are particularly spectacular.  This issue contains 21 projects -- all for only $18.99 (that's less than $1 per project).

If you're on auto ship, Debby is processing your order.  If you'd like to order a copy please visit https://www.sewgracefulquilting.com/ or e-mail info@sewgracefulquilting.com

The shop's new look

What perfect timing for the coolest day of the month to arrive on the first day of fall.  The cooler weather along with the fall colors that are peeking through make us want to snuggle in and stitch the time away.

Kay returned from the show in Pryor with photos of many beautiful quilts.  We just have to share a quilt made by Ann Underwood as it was based around a kit she purchased from us.  She said she made the Tidings of Joy pillow.  Once her grandson, Zain, saw it he told her he needed a quilt to go with it so she pieced and appliqued a quilt using the pillow pattern.

The first photo below shows the pillow, Tidings of Joy.  We have kits ($36.95) available which include the pattern, background fabrics, wool for applique, binding and instructions for making the outside piping the easy way.  Some fabrics may vary slightly from the photograph.  Pillow finishes 15" x 21"

The second photo shows Ann's quilt using the Tidings of Joy pattern.
We received our shipment of the new Punch Needle and Primitive Stitcher magazine.  This issue is filled with beautiful inspiring fall themed projects.  It contains instructions for 22 projects.  $9.99

If you're on auto ship, Debby has processed your order.  If you'd like to order a copy please visit https://www.sewgracefulquilting.com/ or e-mail info@sewgracefulquilting.com

As she unpacked from the show, Kay took the time to rework displays.  We are sharing photos of the shop -- for more photos be sure to visit our Instagram or Facebook page.  If you spot something you'd like more information about, please e-mail info@sewgracefulquilting.com.

This week for our "when it's gone, it's gone" section we are featuring our Humble Hands kit.  Your $99.95 kit includes the pattern, (Quiltmania magazine #115 is included in kit), fabrics for the top and binding.  Finishes 58" x 70"

We are down to only 2 kits so don't delay in e-mailing info@sewgracefulquilting.com or visiting https://www.sewgracefulquilting.com/ to reserve yours.

Before we leave we want to remind you of the quilt show in Shell Knob MO on Sat, Sep 25 (9-5) and Sun, Sep 26 (9-3).  The show will be held at the Shell Knob Elementary School (Hwy 39 north of downtown Shell Knob).  We won't be vending at the show but enjoy sharing news of upcoming events.

New block of the Month - Jan Patek Snow Day

Kay had a great time at the show in Pittsburg and soon will be heading west to Pryor OK for the Pryor Patches show.  She will be packing Sep 15 so please email info@sewgracefulquilting.com by Sep 14 is there is something you'd like her to bring.

The show is Sep 17 & 18 (9:00-4:00) at the Mayes County Event Center, 2200 NE 1st Street in Pryor.  If you haven't had a chance to purchase a ticket to be in the running to win the guild opportunity quilt, you may do so at the show.  For more info visit https://pryorpatchers.org/quilt-show/.

We shared our newest block of the month, Snow Day, at the show.  We have openings and are taking reservations for the program which will begin Oct 1.  Snow Day was designed by Jan Patek as a large quilt done in cotton......we shrunk the pattern to appx 35" x 37" and used wool for the applique.  Your block of the month kit will contain the pattern with the reduced size templates, background cottons, wool for applique, borders, binding and buttons.

Cost is $14.95 per month (plus shipping) for 7 months.  Please e-mail info@sewgracefulquilting.com or call 479-372-7403 to sign up.

Do you like a nicely organized stitching bag?  Or do you ever look in your stitching bag and think where in the world is my wool applique needle or my embroidery needle or my binding needle?  We have played that game many times but the game is over with our newest item.

We now can organize our needles into the cutest cork stoppered glass bottles.  We are currently using a sharpie to write the needle type and number on the bottle but are thinking it will be worthwhile to embroider a little tag for each bottle.  If you'd like to organize your needles, we have bottles available for 65 cents each.  Bottles measure 3 1/2" tall.  We tried to get a good photo but are obviously better quilters than photographers -- the bottle is clear glass.

We have sturdy shipping boxes and wrapping paper so feel comfortable in mailing them if you don't live in the area.
This week we want to share a couple of Christmas related projects.  The first is Home for Christmas. If you've followed us very long you know it is very common for us to make changes to a pattern.....we modified this cute pattern to create a 15 1/2" x 15 1/2" wall hanging.  Your $24.95 kit includes the pattern with our changes, background fabric, wool for applique, border fabrics, binding, and hand painted button by Lynette Anderson.  The second photo below shows the reindeer button which is included in the kit.  We are not able to get additional buttons.
The Stitcher's Ornaments kit was very popular at Pittsburg.  Your $18.95 kit includes the pattern.....yes.....we changed it, 2 1/2" paper piecing papers, fabrics for the front and back of each ornament, hanging ribbon and buttons.

The second photo below shows the ornaments hanging in the booth.  On a side note, if you study the photo you will probably see a sign which says No Photos and think how odd for us to share a photo when it's obvious we didn't want photos to be taken.  Several years ago we had a big problem with people coming to our booth and taking extreme close ups of our samples.  When we asked if we could help them the comment always was "No.  I'm taking a photo so I can go home and make the project without having to buy a pattern."  So we decided we'd just not allow photos to stop the problem.
This week for our "when it's gone, it's gone" section we are featuring our Follow me to Bethlehem kit.  Your $36.95 kit includes the pattern, flannel for background, wool for applique, and binding.

10 1/2" x 33 1/2"

We have only one kit left so don't delay in e-mailing info@sewgracefulquilting.com to reserve yours.

Debby is on vacation so Darlene and Kay will be minding the store this week.  Hope you'll pop in and say hello.

New fall stitching

Kay is on the way to Pittsburg KS for the Little Balkans festival and quilt show.  Be sure to check social media for pics of the booth.  Instagram - sewgracefulquilting & Facebook - Sew Graceful Quilting

This week we have a couple of brand new projects to share.  The first was designed by Maggie Bonanami and is called Jack & Jinx.  We changed the pattern to make an adorable wall hanging that finishes 10 1/2" x 19".  Your $23.95 kit includes the pattern, background cottons, wool for applique, rick rack, buttons and backing fabric.

The next project "Happy Halloween Banner" by Bonnie Sullivan is a fun way to decorate for the fall.  Your kit includes the preprinted fabric panel so all you have to do is add some wool, do a little stitching and sew on buttons.  Your $29.95 kit includes the pattern, preprinted panel, wool, cotton for backing and ties and buttons.  Our banner finished 37".
If you'd prefer to use your own supplies the pattern with preprinted panel is available for $18.95.

The final project we are sharing this week has been around a while but we have a few kits left.  This is a darling Halloween themed quilt using a panel designed by Crabapple Hill.  Your $19.95 kit includes the panel, borders and binding.  Finishes 33" x 51"
This week for our "when it's gone, it's gone" section we are featuring our last Trio of Ornaments kit.  Kit includes the pattern, background fabric, wool for applique and rick rack.  $14.95
