Cute chickens

The spring showers are keeping us on our toes as weeds seem to be thriving.  The rain leaves the air smelling very fresh, but the humidity is something we would rather not deal with.  After a rain, we see many worms on our driveway which leads us to the point of mentioning rain......our newest pincushion.  Notice the absolutely darling wooden worm buttons?!

Kay took a Lynette Anderson pattern and reduced the applique to create this darling pincushion.  It could also be used as a bowl filler or a small pillow.

Your $14.95 kit for Anderson's Chickens includes the pattern with our changes, background cotton, backing fabric, cotton for applique, wool for chick accents, backing fabric and two wooden buttons.
Another fun spring/summer themed project is Bee Happy (the 4 block quilt pictured below).  It was designed by Kay and features cotton applique.  Finishes 18 1/2" x 18 1/2".

Your $24.95 kit includes the pattern, fabrics for the top, stitchery stabilizer, binding and backing fabric.
This week for our "when it's gone, it's gone" section are featuring our last kit and last pattern for Spring Garden Redwork.  The kit includes the pattern (which contains patterns for the pillow, a wall hanging, door knob hanger and bookmarks), fabric for the stitchery, backing fabric for the pillow and 3 decorative buttons. The pillow finishes 12" x 23".  $24.95
