Wooly Row by Row officially starts Oct 1

The Wooly Block Row by Row 2020 officially kicks off today (Oct 1).  We are always so excited to get to design an 8" block for the program.  The theme this year was "Into the Woods" and we think Kay did a great job interpreting the theme with her Woodland Buddies pattern.  Visit https://quilterstrek.com/ for a complete list of participating shops and rules.

If you'd like a kit for Woodland Buddies, we have them available for $19.95.  Kits include the pattern and wool.
Harvest Blessings is a great fall wall hanging.  It was designed by our friend Norma Whaley.  Your kit contains a nice variety of fabrics to create a scrappy wall hanging.  Your $68.95 kit includes the pattern, wool for applique, an assortment of shirting type cream fabrics, homespun fabric for baskets and borders, inner border and binding.

38" x 38"
Sorry for the not so good photo.  This was taken before the quilt was quilted....it looks much better quilted.

Bonnie Sullivan's newest book What Once was Old is now in stock.  In this book Bonnie repurposes items such as old linens, damaged towels, sheet music, bed springs and a variety of items into very creative projects.  The book contains 20 projects that are sure to spark your creativity.  We have never seen a book like this.  The embroidery stitches used for her projects are also illustrated.  152 pages  $45.95

We also were able to get a few copies of Anni Downs' out of print book, The Home Patch.  If you're interested in adding this charming book to your library, don't delay.  It is no longer in print and is becoming very scarce.
$45.95

This week for our "when it's gone, it's gone" section, we are featuring Hoot the Owl kits.  We have a couple kits left.  Your $19.95 kit includes the out of print pattern, background cotton, wool for applique (please note some wool may not be the exact wool we used in our sample) and backing fabric.

Please e-mail info@sewgracefulquilting.com to reserve your kit.

We hope to keep you updated on quilt shows for 2021.  We are sad to share news that the Dallas Quilt Show for 2021 has been postponed to 2022.  You can read the entire release by visiting the FB page - Dallas Quilt Show - but it says in part "After a great deal of discussing, considering and weighing the benefits and risks of holding our annual show, the Quilters Guild of Dallas Board of Directors voted to postpone the show until March 2022.......We look forward to a successful show in 2022."

Like many of you, we are disappointed.  We know many of you in the DFW area eagerly anticipate visiting us and shopping.  We are working to put together some Diamond fabric bundles to share in future newsletters in hopes that will help soothe your disappointment.

Hope to see you soon!

Darlene and Debby
