Quilt Market in Houston is happening this week.  We aren't attending but are excited to see what new fabrics, gadgets, patterns and books will be debuted at market.  We've attended quilt market in years past, but technology has made it much less expensive and easier to explore the new offerings from the comfort of our homes.  Attending market used to put a several thousand dent in our budget but we can now shop in our pjs and save the cash to buy more merchandise.   Speaking of change........we have a couple of major changes relating to magazines we've carried for years.  As of 2024, Quiltmania will no longer ship magazines to distributors.  This means that we will not be able to get the magazines to sell to you.  This includes the Quiltmania magazine, Simply Vintage and Simple Moderne.  You will need to visit the Quiltmania website to subscribe https://www.quiltmania-inc.us/.  According to the president of Quiltmania, they will continue to offer the magazines as printed materials.   As far as we know, we will receive the next Quiltmania publications:  Simply Vintage #49 (winter) and Quiltmania #158 (winter).  If you're on autoship, we will process your order as soon as we receive the magazines (expected arrival mid to late November).

The second major magazine change involves Primitive Quilts and Projects magazines.  This is a big change......as of 2024, the magazine will only be available as a digital product.  Information regarding changing your subscription and subscribing is contained in the Winter issue.  We expect our final shipment soon are taking pre-orders for the last paper copy, Winter 2023. The Cardinal quilt was a big hit at the Mountain Home quilt show.  We have a few kits left for this sweet quilt.  It features easy piecing and cotton applique.  Your $32.95 kit includes the pattern, fabrics for the top and binding. Finishes 20" x 20"

This week for our "when it's gone, it's gone" section, we are featuring several kits with only one available.  Darlene designed Flowers in the Garden and used the raw edge applique technique.  After quilting she washed the quilt, and the result is a super cuddly quilt.  Your $65.95 kit includes fabric for applique, background fabrics, borders and binding.  The quilt finishes 45" x 50".  Most of the fabrics used were Diamond Textile homespun fabrics.  Please e-mail info@sewgracefulquilting.com to reserve.
